I was tempted to write about this earlier in the week, but I didn’t believe it was real. Turns out it is. What you see below is the trailer to an actual documentary made by supporters of the corporate-backed and endorsed Tea Party astroturf “movement”.
Once you get past the poseur elements in the trailer, what strikes me most is the idea that these folks really believe they are launching a revolution against the sitting government, which is stunning both in its audacity and clueslessness. The fact that its members think leading Congressional Republicans take them seriously (rather than their corporate backers) is a sad statement on little they comprehend the underpinnings of a true grassroots movement.
