While I understand Israel’s security concern here, making a military move to resolve the dispute should be the absolutely last move here. It would be the like removing the pin from the grenade in the Middle East. There are more practical solutions from the other parties in the region that, for their own reasons, also do not want Iran to acquire the technology.

I’m fairly new to Open Left, but I can tell that it’s going to be on my daily reading list. If Lux writes as well as I suspect he can, I would also recommend going out and getting his book, The Progressive Revolution as well. His point about the fundamental difference between progressive and conservative ideals are spot on.

This really is an issue that is a long time coming. While I would agree that too many people are foolish with personal credit, they are not helped by laws that can hopelessly trap people into a system of never-ending payment.

Good for Dodd for not giving up in the issue and taking advantage of the current economic situation to get some practical measures through Congress.

Just heard about the death of 33 year old Hallett, who was best known as Lorne the demon on Joss Wheadon’s series “Angel”. He was probably my favorite character on that show. He will be missed.
